How Long Does It Take?
Because all follicles go through periods of dormancy & growth, each laser hair removal treatment can only affect the follicles that are actively producing hair at that time. Resting follicles must enter the growth phase before they can be effectively treated. It is during the growth cycle that the hair has pigmentation, which allows the laser to find the unwanted hair follicle. It then transmits heat through the hair follicle and destroys it without damaging the skin. This means that particular hair cell can no longer grow hair.
